I have seen a couple versions of this card on Pinterest using different colour combination.This combination I have taught in card classes this week.

Starburst Technique

I thought it time that I had ago at this technique Starburst. This is the card that my card class made on Monday. Actually no two cards ended up the same as some used different sides of the dsp than I had. But they all looked great.
I have used Gingham Garden dsp for this card.
This is another card that I made using the same technique.

This time I have embossed over the dsp to give it a different effect. Graet technique. teh strips of paper only need to be 11/2" x 4" long then you cut them on the diagonal to get two pieces then  you arrange them  in either ways shown above. Great way to use up scraps of paper too.

Flower shop

I have had a busy week with doing casual work and then being a leader at a Brownie camp at the weekend .I haven't had much time to upload some of the cards I have made in the past few weeks.
This is a card that I cased off Christy Fulk here . I liked the way she used the new stamp set, Flower shop and the new in colours.Also she used some of the new ruffle stretch ribbon which only comes in the in colours.

Tag it Christmas card

Tonight we have team meeting in Christchurch. Our swaps can be from the new catalogue or the holiday catalogue coming out next month. I chose products from both.The Father Christmas is from the Tag it set. $3.50 from the sale of this stamp set goes to Ronald McDonald house.

I have been busy getting ready for a Brownie camp this weekend as I am one of the organisers. Should be fun I hope. As well I have three classes next week which I'm trying to get sorted for.

Using Washi tape

This is another male card that we made at my last male card class. Actually it could be used as a feamale card too as one of my ladies was going to do. I have cased this from Diane Oaulette except have used different sentiments on it. A fun card to make with the gold embossing on it and the Washi tape. The grunge look of cards is the in look this season and I am enjoying using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set that we received at convention.

Mosaic birthday card

I'm really enjoying making cards from this stamp set Mosaic Madness. So much you can do with it. (I haven't even started the Christmas cards yet.)
I saw the idea for this card from Sue Miller (can't seem to link back to her. She had made hers using Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry)
I got out my trusty Colour Coach and found these colours together: Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, and Smoky Slate.

This card is a rehashed one that I have made from a card that I made in  March 2011. I have used new colours and made it for a boy. I have also used some of the new ruffle ribbon in the in colour Coastal Cabana.

Celebrate Male card

This card  I received as a swap from Sharyn Robertson at our last team meeting. I have used it  in my male card classes these past few weeks.I liked the elements Sharyn used to put this card together though some of my ladies weren't sure about the words above the cupcake for their males, Happy Birthday Cupcake. I have used early Expresso in my sample whereas Sharyn had used Chocolate Chip.
