Make n take

At wednesdays team meeting we were showed a couple of WOWs by our team leader Rebecca ( will show them another time) and then Sharyn taught us this make n take. The card used the new score pal. The vertical and horizontal score lines really add dimensional to the card. Then we brayered Versamark on to the card after the image had been stamped on and coloured.
After the brayering we put clear embossing powder on the card and heat set it.
Another close up photo though hard to see the shiny affect that the embossing has made.

The third photo shows how we made the label with the sentiment on ot. Instead of putting the sentiment on top of the cardstock we cut the shape for the sentiment to go  under. The words were stamped onto the vanilla cardstock beneath the red cardstock. Great idea. Thanks Sharyn. Nice to use this stamp set again, mines been gathering dust in the cupboard.

We went with 70 girls from all over South Canterbury to The Antarctic Centre in Christchurch and stayed the night at the centre. Saw and experienced everything on offer their. Great fun apart from the limited amount of sleep. We slept among the displays by the penguins ( the stuffed ones that is).So feeling a bit tired today.

3D Bordering on Romance card

Heres another card that I made on Thursday using the Bordering on Romance stamp set. I've  used the Edgelets from the mini catalogue. I have stamped the flowers on to the white then stamped it again on watercolour paper. Coloured the flowers in , and cut them out to mount onto the stamped image on the card giving it a 3D affect.
Don't you hate it when the card is all put together and there you find a black smudge ( from ink on your hands) so that is why there is a butterfly on the card.
Stamps:Bordering on Romance, Bring on the cake
Paper:Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, white, Daffadil Delight
Ink:Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade. Daffadil delight
Accessories: Aqua painters, Butterfly wings die, Large oval punch , Decorative labels punch, dimensionals, Edgelits. Polka dot embossing folder

Yesterday because of the snow or was it despite the snow I had an enjoyable day crafting . But once the sun went away from my craft room( after streaming in most of the day) it got very very cold. My fingers could hardly do anything.
