More Christmas cards

This is one of the cards that we made at my last card class. I have copied the layout design from here.
I have added dsp to the background from the Candlelight Christmas designer paper.
But when I came to do the class I didn't have quite enough of the background paper to all do the same colour so I went for the Early expresso coloured dsp. Its quite effective with the duifferent colours. one of my ladies used the reverse side of one of the papers and it has bright red on it. Gave the card another completely different look.
Stamps:Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper:Lucky limeade, Cream, Candlelight Christmas dsp,
Ink:Bright Red
Accessories: Holiday Frame embossing folder, Designer Frames folders, Large oval punch, Real red ribbon

Christmas Collage

I really enjoy making these collage pictures using various stamping sets, papers. punches and embossing folders.I have seen several of these collages of various blogs so have combined several ideas to come up with my own design. A lot depended on what stamp sets and punches that I had.
I am running a craft day here in Methven next Wednesday and this will be one of the projects that we make.
To finish the picture off I bought a frame from Warehouse that had two matts on it which allowed the collage to sit comfortably in it without touching the glass.

Cookie Stamps

Have you seen the these pressed Cookie Stamps?
I have used a melting moment receipe to make these biscuits. The cookie stamps are easy to use . Two recepies are included in the packet of silicone stamps.
These would make lovely gifts especially for Christmas or a birthday.

Bamboo booklets

Last week at the Christchurch Heartfelt event Julia Leece showed us how to make booklets from bamboo sticks. So once home I was really keen to have a go at making one. I am the local Brownie leader and we have just finished a badge about the Black Stilt birds which are endangered. When i saw what Julia had made I thought thats what I could make and put the photos of the girls and the activities that they did for their badge. So here is my version.
You can add as many pages as you like to the book.I have ended up with 20 pages. Think I got a bit carried away, but I will fill them all up. The book size is about 14.5cm x 18cm.
I have decorated it fairly plainly but I really enjoyed making it. Now my daughter would like  me to make another with bright coloured pages and have photos on the pages of all her soft toys. Yeah right!
Thanks Julia for a very creative idea.

I bought a new laptop  a few weeks ago and I must have got the 1 in 1000 that fails. The hard drive went completely dead. We managed we think to get most of my files off it. So now waiting for a replacement. .
I was so enjoying have my own laptop for all my cardmaking.and being able to use it in my crafting room that is seperate from the house. So back to using the family one for a bit.

Heartfelt Event

I attended the StampinUp Heartfelt event yesterday in Christchurch. What a fabulous day. Loved the presentations and the showcasing of new products. Instead of doing lots of swaps which we normally do we just had to make one thing and put in on a board to share. I decided to use the new Holiday Stocking Bigz die. Its quite a good size to fit treats or something special in it. I made two to share.
I have used new colour Gumball Green and new dsp Be of good cheer.
Stamps:Perfect Punches
Paper:Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer dsp
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Petals a Plenty embossing folder,11/4" circle punch, 13/8" circle punch,Gumball green ribbon,Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon

The new Catalogue and the Holiday catalogue are now live . If you haven't got one yet give me a call for your copy. So many new and exciting products to be seen in the catalogues.
