Early Fathers Day card

I've been looking at some of the dsp that is retiring at the end of August and have been trying to use some of it up. When I saw this dsp from Bring on the cake dsp I thought it could do for a male card teamed with the right colours. So here we have a card using Night of navy , Peach parfait and Sahara sand.
This stamp set has not seen the light of day for a very long while so thought it time that I used it.
After i put the card together I thought maybe it could do for Fathers Day (first Sunday in September).

I liked the colour combination so made another card similar but with different stamp set.
Here could be a boys card or a mans card. Same colours different way round.

Stamps;Loads of love, I dig you,
Paper:Sahara Sand. Night of Navy. Peach parfait, white, Bring on the cake dsp
Ink:Black,Peach parfait,Marina mist, Poppy parade, Basic Grey
Accessories Circle cutters, Not quite navy 11/4" ribbon,Modern label punch, window slot punch,Stampin write markers, Aqua painter, lattice embossing folder

Upsy Daisy card

Yesterday I showed the cards that I made using the Polished stone technique, here is another card that I made using the same technique but different colours. Upsy Daisy stamp set lends itself well to this technique though I think if I make this card again I would black emboss the flowers onto the card. Here I only stamped the flowers on with black ink.
The colours used here are Peach Parfait,Pumpkin Pie and Real Red, So saffron.

Reason to smile

I know that the Reason to Smile promotion has finished but I feel I didn't get much time to use this stamp set. So I have made a couple of more cards using this set. This card I cased from here, though Linda has used the new incolours which of course we don't have yet.
So after consulting my colour coach I came up with this combo. I wanted to make a card that used the Baja Breeze pleated ribbon. So this is my version.
Stamps:Reason to Smile ,Curly Cute
Paper:Rose red, Concord Crush, Baja breeze White
Ink:Baja Breeze, Concord Crush, Black
Accessories: Baja Breeze Pleated ribbon, embossing folder, Brad ( non SU)

Sorry this photo a bit blurred but you can still see what we did on Thursday at the kids craft day. This was my sample.
Here are a couple of samples of what the girls made.
They did such a fantastic job of making these boards into works of art.
Involved was a large piece of MDF , then that was covered in material . The girls then laid various shapes over the material ,which was then spray painted. The paper shapes were taken off then the decorating started. Lots of mess and fun.

Isn't she cute....?

Yesterday I held a craft day for children. I had 14 girls that were kept busy making several craft projects. Two of the cards I have showcased on previous blog entries. Some of the girls had different background paper but the bears all looked cute.
Stamps: Party this way
Paper:Soft Suede, Crumb cake, Beau Chatuea dsp, vanilla, black, Real red, Marina mist
Ink: Soft Suede, signo gel pen
Accessories:  Numerous punches

I enjoyed the day with the girls its always fun seeing the girls creativity coming forth. And a big thankyou to Jo who helped me with the crafts. Couldn't have done it without you.
I'll show another of the crafts we did later.

Shaving cream masculine card

What do you think of my new designer paper?
This is a technique that I will be using with the children at my craft day tomorrow. I know its a wee while until Fathers Day but I thought the children could get in early and be ready with a card.
The background is made with shaving cream and several colours using the reinkers. Then with the use of a fork I have swirled the colours around, lay the paper on top of the cream and the colours are picked up by the paper. I managed to get two pieces of white card coloured , the third piece the colours are more smudged together.
Here is the second card I made but have only used half of the paper that I coloured. Its a very effective technique. Anyone could try this.
Stamps:Need for Speed,Create a cupcake,Loving thoughts
Paper:Soft suede,white,marina mist
Ink:Black,Early expresso,soft suede,marina mist,river rock
Accessories: Ribbon, scallop edge punch, reinkers, watercolour pencils

Quick and Easy page

You can't do a scrapbook page quicker than with this designer paper from Attic Boutique. I only had to put the photo on and a bit of journalling and it was done.
This pack of designer paper makes for quick scrapbook pages and all you have to do is add your photo.
Great if you haven't much time.

This afternoon I have been childless and with no one staying in my craft room (acts as a guest room on occasion ) I have been able to do some crafting. I have a card class this week and a kids craft day as well, so I need to put final cards and projects together.
Hope the holidays are going well for you all.
This is what we have been doing this past week, picking up sticks. Before the paddock can be replanted it needs sticks removed from where trees were felled two years ago. Good fun. the kids have enjoyed the bonfire thats been made from burning the sticks. Been cooking various foods on and in the fire .
