Sympathy card

This sympathy card uses the Bokeh technique. Its a fun technique that can be used for any sort of card. Changing the background colours that have been sponged on can make it  a card that needs very little else added to it. In this card I have used the leaves from Butterfly Basics stamp set with the matching Butterfly Thinlit.

Yes this is another card using the Iresistibly Yours paper. So enjoying the different patterns and different effects that the dsp gives cards. Again using the Big day stamp set.

More Irresistibly yours cards

Once a month I do Volunteer work at our local craft shop. Usually it is fairly quiet so I take a few crafting bits and pieces . Not sure what happened last week but I left a few stamp pads behind and only had Tangelo Twist, Lost lagoon,Hello Honey and black. These are not my favourite colour combinations. They go well together but I am more of a purple/red/green girl. Anyway these are what I made.

I wanted to play with the Irresistibly Yours specialty dsp some more. So this is another pattern in the pack. I have teamed it up with the Big day stamp set.
Here is another card using the same pattern but different stamp set.

This time I have used the Balloon Bash stamp set. And reversed the colours.

Irresistibly Your....

The lovely Irresistibly Yours specialty paper available free from sale-a bration has been used as the background for this card. The paper is embossed with various patterns and when colour is added the emboss parts resist taking the colour up. In this card I used the star paper . I have used sponges to add colour to the paper. I saw a card like this on Kathryn Ruddick blog.
The stamp set is also a freebie from sale-a-bration.

Be mine

This card my husband will receive tomorrow. I cased it from Annette Elliott. Her card seen here is actually a shaker card where the hearts are. I didn't make mine as a shaker card. This card uses the You plus me stamp set from the occasions catalogue. The dsp is from the paper stack Stacked with Love.

New technique

This card showcases a new technique that is around  called Bokeh (pronounced Boukay). I cased this card from Billie Moan as it used the new butterfly thinlit from the occasions catalogue.
The technique involves some sponging of different colours, using white craft ink and circles  of varying sizes and daubers.
To get the colours in the butterfly I have used vellum that has been coloured in with blendabilities that has been adhered to the cut out shape of the butterfly.

I love you.....

A Valentines Day card we made last night.I cased this off Margaret Raburn seen here, with a few minor changes. The paper that is embossed with the hearts is from the designer paper stack Stacked with love.

I have completely changed the colours and haven't used as much lace. I coloured the image using Blendies. The stamp set used is from Butterfly Basics.

A nephew of mine had his birthday last week and he is right into soccer. So even though the soccer ball stamp is retired the rest of th card elements are not. the sentiments are from Butterfly Basics stamp set. The dsp is from the Neutrals designer paper pack.
