Loving the Blossoms in Bloom dies. Such a versatile die that you can do so much with. I didnt buy the stamp set that co-ordinates with it and you can still make lovely cards with the dies. The multicoloured card I used aqua painters to colour the cardstock before cutting out.

Striped cards

This is the card that I made for my sons birthday. I was playing around keen to give this technique a go. So picked random colours of cardstock that I had been using at that time. It wasn't until I put it together that I realised that the colours looked like camo colours that my son usually wears.The Happy Birthday die is now retired.
The strip technique is a great way to use up pieces of leftover cardstock of random widths and lengths. I trimmed the card with the stitched rectangle dies.
I have used Garden Green ,Sea Foam,Cinnamon Cider.

New designer papers

Had a lovely day making cards on Saturday.It was great to share ideas, tools and ink pads. Sharyn showed us a card that she made with the Stitched squares and some designer papers.I put cardstock around the white card to give it more definition. The designer paper used here is Flowers for Every Season.

This card I used one of the dies from Ornate Layers to back the white stitched squares.This designer paper is Forever Greenery.

Cards made using retiring products.

A number of stamp sets that I have are retiring at the end of the month. And many haven't seen much light lately.So I have been reusing some of the sets for one last time. This first card uses the Flourishing phrases set which includes dies.Surprisingly when I went to use the cutters I realised I had never used the long circle cutter shown on the right side of this card.I cased this card from Bonnie O'Neill.
Along with stampsets that are retiring there also in colours  of inks and cardstock. In this card I used Pineapple Punch.
