At the retreat in the weekend this is one of the pages that I scrapped using StampinUp products. I have used dsp from the current mini, decorative label punch, butterfly diez and alphabet.
This is my delightful daughter in the water. Can't help herself even if it is very cold .

Glitter Card
Last night I had my card class. This is a card that I had Cased and was going to share with the ladies. But we had already made one wedding card so the ladies decided to omit the bride and groom on the card and we came up with this instead.
Sorry about the colour was taken at night, and I didn't end up with a sample.
The flower from Field of Flowers was stamped first in Pink Pirouette and the stamped over with Perfect Plum. The glitter paper has been coloured using Regal Rose ink using a aqua pen. The designer Paper is from Beau Chateau.Soft Suede cardstock has been used behind the dsp and the base of the card is Very Vanilla.Looked good.

Need for Speed
At the weekend I attended a scrapbooking retreat with a bunch of ladies from around the mid Canterbury region. On Friday when I left home I wasn't sure whether I was going for the day or night or for the whole weekend. It all depended on the weather as to whether I was summoned home for harvesting. But unfortunately for the arable farmers around ,there was a storm on Friday evening which brought down rain and hail in places. This is definitely not a good year for getting crops in.
Anyway it meant they I stayed two nights at the retreat and got heaps of scrapbooking done.
I was also able to teach a card class as well.
This is one of the cards that I taught. My theme was a card for a family. So taught a male card, card for a girl and a boy. But due to a practice evacuation I ran out of time to teach the last card.
( We never had practice evacuations or big emphasis on exits before February 22nd).
This card involved sponging, masking and stamp off.And again the use of the First Edition dsp. Also highlighted the use of the Bakers Twine.
We had a fabulous time at the retreat great bunch of ladies. On the Saturday night we all dressed up for a banquet which quite spontaneously became a wedding breakfast. (All because of the way the tables were laid out and who was sitting in the middle seat at the top table). We had speeches from the 'BrideGroom', 'mother of the bride' ,'flower girl' . Their were 'telegrams ' and dancing.
We all enjoy playing Scrap bingo, for a chance to win a prize. Very competitive game.
Thanks Sonia for a fabulous weekend. Role on next years one.

Sharing in your sorrow
I always like to have a few sympathy cards on hand. This is one that I made using my favourite stamp set for the moment, Field of Flowers. I got this idea off a card that I had seen on a blog. The First Edition dsp looks good teamed with this card. The main card is made using Very Vanilla. The sentiment is from Prayers and Thoughts stamp set.
Yesterday I took part in the Girls on Bikes held in Methven. I have never entered in this event before so thought I'd give it ago doing the 37km course. I don't have a road bike so used my mountain bike instead. I really enjoyed the ride despite using a mountain bike and the first 12km going up a steady uphill road. The weather was hot with a bit of a head wind in places.
Sorry no photos of me on my bike. Well not yet anyway.
After the bike ride it was lovely to be able to have a swim at Methevn Resort in their heated pool. I think I would like to do the bike ride again but probably on a racing bike next time.
Thankyou to Braziers for putting on this event.

My Valentines
I've had a lovely day today. Started with me receiving a lovely card and gift from my DH.
Then my daughter wrote my husband and I some lovely words for Valentines Day. Because it was wet today we went to town to do some jobs before going out for a lovely meal at a restaurant.
A tradition in our family ( if we are not harvesting) on Valentines day is to have a candle lit meal. ( Its amazing how many damp Valentines day there have been over the years.)
The kids get really excited. I try and cook something a bit different. For dessert I made Chocolate Brownie which went down a treat.
As well I made a gift for my husband.I made this heart shaped gift box. I have used the Petal cone big diez. I have put a narrow strip of cardstock between the two petal cones to make a box. I got this idea from Maria Matonti here.
And of course I couldn't miss the children out. So I made these.
Again these are made with the petal cone diez. Last week I made these for a workshop that I took. The ladies really liked these especially with the little treat in it.
So did my children.

Wedding card
Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending a dear friend of ours sons wedding. It was a very unconvential wedding but lots of fun.
This is the card that I cased and made for the couple.I have used the stamp set Marry Me from the summer mini. The lovely background paper is the velvety paper from Mocha Morning dsp.
The one convential part of the wedding was that the couple did dress up in traditional wedding colours; ie the groom wore a black suit ( probably the one and only time) and the bride wore white. The groom was sporting a lovely black mowhawk!
Delightful. The bride was 40 minutes late because she left her vows at home. The reception was meant to start at 4:15 but didn't get underway until 5:30. But thats ok we had plenty of time to talk.
Because the wedding was held right on the beach front my children had to go for a swim while the photos were being taken. That was fine but then they disappeared after dessert and were seen back in the water again. This time in just their undies. Because we live inland miles away from the sea they can't resist going into the sea.
So all in all it was a lovely day and just lovely to see the young couple making the committment to each other.

You're in my thoughts
This is a lovely Valentines day card that I have copied from Splitcoasters. I loved how the dsp from Sale-a-bration has been used on this card. The dsp is Everyday Enchantment.
The centre heart has been punched out from the Red Glitter paper from the summer mini.
The words are from the lovely stamp set Field of Flowers. I have used the window punch to seperate the phrase.
Have you made a valentines day card for that someone special yet?

Team Swap
Last night our team had a team meeting, but I was unable to go to it due to harvest. I made a swap anyway and this is what I made. I ran out of Razzleberry dsp on the last two cards so used pacific Point dsp and coloured the fruits that colour. I must say I almost preferred the Pacific point colours. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of that card.
In this card I have used the Pretty Postage stamp set with matching punch. The base colour of cardstock is Natural Ivory. The other colours used are Rich razzleberry and Old Olive.
This card is missing its sentiment I think I put Just for you on my swaps.
I'm looking forward to receiving my swaps.
Hope you had a good meeting ladies. Next time!

Beyond the Garden Scrapbook page
This scrapbook page is cased from the summer mini catalogue. After taking this photo and looking at the colours in the photo I decided to do this layout with the Beyond the Garden dsp and then thought the photo would work with the layout shown in the catalogue.
This photo and the layout is so my daughter. She loves flowers and pink is her favourite colour. As for the photo well Thats my girl, hair a mess, grubby knees sitting on a bale during harvest.
The colours used here are Wild Wasabi and Melon Mumbo .
Here are two closeup photos of the layout. The first photo I made the flowers using Big Shot die Fun flowers. I screwed the paper up before running it through the Big Shot. Have used an antique brad in the centre. The coloured flowers are from the Field of Flowers stamp set. My favourite stamp set at present I think. I have used Pretty in Pink and then gone over it with Melon Mumbo and the other flower seen on the main layout is So Saffron gone over with Cajun Craze.
I've put little pearls along the scalloped edge.
The embossed folder is also from the new mini.
TFL.
