I needed a sympathy card this week ,so made this card .Mary Brown gave me the idea for this card.

Pinwheel card

This is a card that we made at my last class. The theme was fancy folds. For one of the pinwheels we used the pinwheel sizzilit.The pinwheels are a bit fiddly to get a brad put in. But they look good once done. I have used some retiring products in this card. they include the Curly Cute words, the subtles designer paper pack and the pinwheel sizzilit which is in the seasonal catalogue which ends on the 1st July.

Another sneak peak

This is the other make n take that we did on Saturday at our mini convention. Manda Hill taught us this showcasing some new products in the new catalogue going live on the 2nd July.
New colours , new stamp sets ,new embossing folder and a punch as well.

Male birthday card

This is a card that we made at one of my classes recently. i intend to give it to my son for his birthay.
It uses some dsp from comfort Cafe which retires at the end of the month.

MDS birthday invite

I've been having a little play with My Digital Studio. This is what I came up for my sons upcoming birthday party. I kept it pretty plain but was created in much less time than if I had physically made it with cardstock and stamps. On the back is the details of theparty also typed from MDS.
You may recognise the background dsp from the Christmas seasonal catalogue .Thats one thing the dsp never dates or gets retired.

Mini Convention

Yesterday our team , First Kwistampers held a mini Convention in Christchurch.It was a lovely day catching up with team members but more importantly sharing highlights of Convention to those that couldn't attend.
We had prize patrol, demonstrations, business talks and made two make n takes.

This is the card that I demonstrated using a new stamp set that we received at Convention which is in the new catalogue ( going live on the 2nd July), a new colour ink and new dsp.
This is a version of one of the make n takes that we did in Brisbane.
Despite the heavy rain in Christchurch, the sleet and flooding we had to endure to get to the day it was well worth it. Thanks for the great day ladies and the lovely gifts.

Another beautiful dress

This is another dress that Ngaire demonstrated to us. In this card the flowers are made from vellum and 7/8" scallop circle punch. Lots of scallop circles.Bit of daubing to give some colour.
Real red is the colour used.


Snow all around us here,kids off school. So I'm trying to do some crafting with my daughter.

Dress ups

At convention Ngaire Anderson from Perth demonstrated a couple of cards using Dress up framelits.I really liked this dress made using wrappers from Ferro Roche chocolates.The family were happy to munch through a box to supply the wrappers.

My nephews birthday is tomorrow so I made this card totally cased from Yvette Ashe. I really liked how it was put together especially using the acetate or window sheet that has been stamped,that is under the ball.

Dads birthday card

I have seen a couple of cards made like this with variations of the letters used.
My dads birthday is coming up so thought this would be nice easy card to make for him.

Coloured Doilies

Last night at Brownies where I am the leader , I got the girls to make a card like this. The Theme for our night was Heat. The girls really enjoyed making the card and using the different embossing powders. I must say they were very good with the powders and there wasn't a mess like I thought there might have been.
One mum txt me today saying her daughter wanted to do embossing at home and why didn't mum have a heat gun. I told the mum that the toaster works just as good!!

Pinwheel card

In the last round of Ustamp with Dawn Lisa Foster made a lovely pinwheel collection of cards and accessories.
This is one of the items that she made though I have added my own touch to it with ribbon and different combination of designer paper.
The pinwheel sizzlit is available in the current seasonal mini catalogue but they are easy to make without the sizzlit.

I lightly daubered inside the clouds with the white craft ink to make the clouds stand out more.

Cupcake birthday card

This stamp set is one that I have not used in  along while apart from the words Happy Birthday.
My daughter has been invited to two birthday parties in the next two weeks so I might be making a few of these cards.

50th Wedding anniversary card

This weekend my in laws are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I have totally cased this card from Nikki Saddler. I didn't want it to be too flowery or detailed.

Card box holder

Yesterday I held a craft day at Mt Hutt Station. Had a lovely day teaching 2 projects. Some of the ladies were happy to make their own projects. In the morning I taught the ladies to make a DVD case mini album. Now that stampinUp sell empty stamp set cases these are great for making these albums.
The second project was this card box holder. I had seen this made on Ustamp with Dawn in the last round. Was a lovely box to make and decorate using several different albums.

DSP scrap card

This is another card that we made at my card class last week. Its a great way to use up scraps of designer paper. I cased the card from Debbie Kolberg, but changed some of the colours using what I had in stock.
