In the holiday catalogue is a new kind of cardstock called Core'dinations. It comes in three colours.I have used Early expresso. When it is used with an embossing folder and with a bit of sanding another colour is highlighted.
For this card I got the idea from Amy White but have changed some of the details from her card to suit what I had in stock.

Masked Sponging

This is  a technique that I taught at my last card class. I had seen several cards using this technique and stamp set that I was keen to have a go at. This is what we ended up with, though my sample was slightly different. The ladies decided it was a good sympathy card.                                                              I had used Rose red ribbon on my original sample and    different sentiments .
Stamps:Serene Silhouettes,Loving thoughts ( Just Believe)
Paper:Black,White
Ink:Pool Party,Lucky Limeade,Stazon black
Accessories:  Sponges,Labels framelits collection, Ribbon

More Christmas cards

This is one of the cards that we made at my last card class. I have copied the layout design from here.
I have added dsp to the background from the Candlelight Christmas designer paper.
But when I came to do the class I didn't have quite enough of the background paper to all do the same colour so I went for the Early expresso coloured dsp. Its quite effective with the duifferent colours. one of my ladies used the reverse side of one of the papers and it has bright red on it. Gave the card another completely different look.

Paper:Lucky limeade, Cream, Candlelight Christmas dsp,
