Sadies Fundraiser

I attended Sadies day at Darfield, a fundraiser for Breast Cancer. It was a most enjoyable day. Got a bit of scrapbooking done. Lots of food and laughs and fun. The scrap Bingo was a great hit. We were all given white card, piece of Bella Rose dsp and a piece of coloured cardstock and two pieces of ribbon. Wow it was amazing what everyone came up with. I wasn't very original considering my previous post. But its amazing how the same basic layout can look so different in different colours. Thanks Sadie for a lovely day, and well done on raising so much money.

Team card

This is our winning team card that we made. The photo doesn't do it justice. The card opened up to a three fold with a slot for a gift card. The stamp set was Every Moment a new set coming out in September. When I first saw this set I didn't think it would be one with much scope but after our training day and seeing the different uses of the set , I've changed my mind. Great set for using the Aqua pens on.

Swap for Regionals

This is my swap that I made for SU Regional training in Christchurch.
Stamps:Printed Petals, Oval All
Paper:Melon Mambo,Vanilla, Confetti White, Rich Razzleberry
Ink:Melon mambo, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:Reinkers,Melon Mambo, Ribbon,Dimensionals,Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder, Oval scallop Punch
Technique:Baby Wipe

Both stamp sets are in the new Catalogue due out 1st September.
I really enjoyed Regional training this year. So much more hands on make and takes. I really enjoyed the team challenge. Each table of 6 were given three pieces of cardstock, ribbon . We were to use only 3 ink colours and the stamp set that we were given on arrival. Its amazing how 6 of us could put together a card in only 20 minutes. We made a three fold gift card holder. (I'll try and find a photo of the card)
All the cards were judged . Our card was the eventual winner after drawing twice with another team but winning when our team name was drawn out of a cup. We received a lovely gift. Well done my team!

Circle Circus Cards

These are two cards that I made for my sons soccer coaches. I just love the Circle Circus stamp set. It is such a versatile set that can be used for male or female cards. My daughter and I made sheets of designer paper using 4 colours and various circle circus stamps and one fine day we hope to use the paper for cards or to cover notebooks.

Scallop Card

One of the ladies from one of my card class visited me today and showed me these two cards that she had made. She had used the design from one of my cards from the July card class to make these. i think these cards are lovely. The colours and the flowers are great.
I always get a buzz when I see the ladies from my classes reproducing cards .
I enjoy seeing the way they change colours and use different papers but keep to the basic design. Thanks Lynley.

Handbag

I had a lovely time on Friday catching up with Helen from my downline. She is one very talented lady. I cased this bag from her last week using Pink Flamingo dsp and Real red and Basic Grey cardstock. I think I'll be making a few more of these. Lovely little note cards fit inside.

Card classes in July we used punches. Two cards made using scallop circle punch in two different ways. Square punch used to make a quilt and large oval punch to amke a feature for a stamped image. ( My convention swap was made using this technique but in different colours).
