Fidget spinner card

I made this card for my daughters friends birthday. Seen as they are all the rage at the moment and this friend has a couple so seemed a fun card to make. I watched a tutorial on this by beths paper cuts seen here.
Such a fun card to make. I added a bit of extra detail using the flowers from Large Numbers stamp set. http://bethrush-bethspapercuts.blogspot.co.nz/search?updated-max=2017-05-29T22:55:00-05:00&max-results=7 Product List

Embossing paste ideas

Last night we had a team meeting in Christchurch. We were small in numbers but great conversations and sharing of our experiences as we launch the new catalogue.I was asked to WOW the ladies so I showed the new Embossing paste and some of the things you can do with it.

These two cards use two of the stencils. You can colour the paste using a couple of drops or reinkers.
On this card I have applied the paste to the cardstock then I sprinkled copper embossing powder of the embossing paste shaking off the excess. You leave it to dry before setting the embossing powder
with a heat gun.
This card which I cased fromTanya Boser shows diamond stencil. I have spritzed the paste with water mixed with ink. Very effective.

Colour Combination idea

The photo above doesn't do true justice to the colour of the throw over as it is very similar colour to Tranquil Tide. With the cat on it the colour close to Peach Peekaboo it looked a really good colour combination to try out.
I got the idea for the layout for this card from the new annual catalogue on pg 94. I have used the new in colour designer paper series. I fussy cut the flower out and cut it in half to lay it on either side of the stitched oval. The Peach peekaboo flowers are from the Daisy Delight stamp set. With a panel of smokey slate embossed cardstock it finishes the card off nicely. The Doillie is a retired one that I had on hand.
