Rosette

I made this card last week and then in the weekend I received SU latest Impressions newsletter.
In their was a section on what to use your Crimper for. These include just making your paper crimped or making chipboard crimped. You can make Herringbone patterns, making soft waffle patterns or you can use it on top of a gift sack for a finishing touch.
In my card I have made a Rosette using the Eyelet border punch. To make it able to be rounded to make the rosette the strip of dsp was put through the crimper about four times.
I used a strip of dsp 1 1/2" x 12".Then used that one piece and wrapped it round a 1 1/4" circle and the same piece of dsp went into the second row. Finished it off in the centre with a itty bitty button.
I have used Pumpkin Pie and Real red colour combo. Not two colours that I would normally put together but the colour coach said they went together and it the colours went ok with the dsp which is from the latest mini catalogue.
You can view a video on how to make this on Dawn Olchefske blog site ( Sorry no link).

Thought and prayers are with those in Christchurch. Been awlful watching the devastion of the city that I grew up in and which is only an hour away. My family are fine but some of my friends have houses that are badly damaged.

Inlaid/embed card

I am loving this inlaid technique especially with the lattice embossing folder found in the mini catalogue. Really gives the card new dimension. These colours I found on the coach wheel: Rich razzleberry, pacific point and Daffadil Delight.
And the stamp is from Punch Bunch a Sale-a-bration set which you can get free if you spend $120. Offer lasts until 31st March.

Wheel card

I saw this card on the SU website. So I thought I'd make my version of it. I have changed the colours completely but kept the basic design. I'm really enjoying using the builder wheels and the various designs.
I have used the in colours: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz.

Here is another card made with the punch Bunch stamp set from Sale-a-bration. I inked up the stamp with stampin' write marker pens. The scalloped border is made from the scallop trim border punch and the scallop trim corner punch. I found on Gretchen Barrons blog ( Sorry don't have a link to her blog ) the exact measurements to make square and rectangle shapes with these punches. I have used rich razzleberry cardstock. Another team swap

Here is another swap for our team meeting last week made by the very talented and creative Sonia. She comes up with some amazing creations using SU products. This is a wooden plaque that she has painted and put letters on it that were made through the Timeless Junior Alphabet. The letters are made from black cardstock and have crystal effects on them. The heart has been made from Du Kit ( fimo) stamped with stamp from Priceless.
Great isn't it.

Team swap

One of my team members Sonia made this lovely book mark as a swap ( actually for last years swap). She has used the one inch wide ribbon, felt punched out and a button from the Itty bittty button set from the new mini catalogue. How cool is that!

Handbags

I was unable to attend our team meeting last night at the last minute ( the babysitter rang in sick) and we were harvesting so no other available childminders. Anyway I had made these little handbags for swaps. Just a change from making a card which is what I usually do. I hadn't received my Sale-a-bration stamp set yet so came up with these little beauties ( I have seen these on SCS).
Its a great way to use up scraps of paper . I placed the squares on card and ran it through the big Shot using the Top Note die.
On each bag I have put the initial of a team member. The alphabet was cut out on the Big Shot ising the Timeless Junior Alphabet. ( I love that alphabet is a really nice size and design).
The bags inside I bought from a place in Chch that sells them for about $16.50 for a 100.(If you want to know the name of the place let me know).
On the Blueberry Crisp, Elegant Soiree andWoodland Walk bags I have used Vanilla ribbon.Greenhouse Gala bag I used Pear Pizzazz ribbon.
