Another door hanger

This is another project that we made at our craft day on wednsday. These are Door hangers. I saw these made in one of this years UStamp with Dawn rounds.
Mine is made with dsp from Level 1 Hostess pack.
The concord crush piece with the ribbons is suppose to have a photo on it. The children enjoyed making these and their were several colour combinations.
I took my camera and was going to take photos of the various projects finished, but I ended up being so busy I forgot. At least I have my samples.

Door Hanger

This is my 8 year old daughters Door Hanger. Blushing Bride and Concord Crush were her main colours.
The boys colours were Garden Green and Gray colours from last years Hostess level 1 dsp packs.

Envelope mini album

Yesterday I held a childrens craft day. I had 13 children working like beavers all day making various projects. It was a full on day for me keeping everyone occupied with the different skill levels. Fortunately one of the mums stayed with her child and was able to help. We all had fun.
This is one of the projects that we made. An envelope album. I saw this on Crafters Anonymous and thought it would be great for the children to make. It uses 3 Vanilla SU envelopes joined together.
I used papers from the Brights dsp to make the background for the photos that cover the back of the envelopes, then used the plain cardstock to go in the envelopes.
The children decorated the vanilla top note cardstock with various stamps.
A bit of work but the end result was worth it.

At last May scrapbook layout

I'm suppose to be scrapbooking a page a month for Crafters Anonymous but I've got a bit behind. So at last here is the May layout.
I made my page layout to look like the stage at convention. And then added some photos. The only thing I haven't put in to make it exactly like the stage front are the stamping blocks. ( Too hard and the photos would have covered them up). I hope the colours are right. Had to guess a bit for the shades.

Only 17 more days.....

Only 17 more days until this designer paper is gone. The Botanical gazette dsp is great for male cards. Here again I have punched out the dsp to make circles and then put it in the lattice embossing folder to make a very easy and effective male card. The matt round the perfect punches sentiment is from the tags embosslit that goes through the Big SHot.

The autumn mini catalogue finishes on 31st July so if there is anything that you would like from that catalgue you need to contact me before then.

Seeing circles

Once a month I do voluntary work at our towns local craft shop. To fill in the time when it is quiet I take my circle punches ,scrap paper and my Big Shot. I make several card fronts then put them together at a later date. Here are two that I made. I have seen similar cards like these on several blogs . I so enjoy this inlaid embossing technique.

So now I have a supply of baby cards.

Coasters

As promised yesterday here is another project made with the use of adhesive sheets.
These lovely coasters make great hostess gifts or for any other occasion.

The coaster is put together with several layers that are then run through the Big shot using the scallop die. First the base is cork (non SU) then adhesive sheet then Dsp then another piece of adhesive followed by a piece of Windowpane (SU) or acetate . And there you have it.
I have used Sunny Garden dsp.

Colourful butterflies

At convention in May we were shown how to make these lovely butterflies using material. These colours were the only ones I had on hand hence the bright colour of the background.
The material is attached to the adhesive sheets from the current mini catalogue and attached to cardstock. Then using the butterfly die you run it through your bigshot. A further step you could do which I haven't done here is then put the cut out shape through an embossing folder.
You have only until the end of the month to purchase the adhesive sheets. These can be used on so many different projects. Next time I blog I will show another use for the adhesive sheets.

Sons Birthday

Today is my son Matthews 10th birthday. This is the card thta I made for him. I have copied it from somewhere. The stamp set Extreme Elements is great for male cards young and old. With a few stars punched out and sentiments from Perfect Punches the card was made in no time at all.

Last night and in fact all week Matthew has been excited about his 10th birthday coming up. Last night he went to bed and seemed to have gone to sleep pretty quick for him. About 9:45pm he comes bounding out of his room and says, "it's my birthday today!"
Well no Matthew it's still night time and in fact mum hasn't been to bed yet. Mmmmmm, he says, " I 've only had an hours sleep". So off he went back to sleep till about 6:45am.
He's going to Clip n Climb tomorrow with a few friends and a couple will stay over for a sleepover.
